Hi, I’m Kamila Hankiewicz and I’m founder of Darc Vanilla Design. On this website you will find my personal design portfolio (my services are currently available for hire) as well as blog which a the finest mixture of graphic design & marketing issues.

I am a freelance graphic designer specialising in the fields of corporate identity design, print design and brand marketing.
George Bernard Shaw once said:

‘Life is not about finding yourself.
Life is about creating yourself’

and I agree with that.
Since I remember I have been showing huge creativity. I was a self-taught child. I’ve always been passionate about creating. I started being interested in design and new media at the age of 16 creating the popular fan page of The Sims.

Although I’m only 22 years old I have a great passion for everything which can be classified as creative. I spend a lot of time on each design project which I develop.
I love designing.

I love progress.
I love the life and its beauty!

To provide excellent products/services it is essential to me to understand the company structure and its customers. In my opinion designing is combination of clear, logical thinking with the creative vision of giving a business an aesthetic form.

SHORT BIOGRAPHY:

2009- Darcva.com being launched. Let the journey begin!
2008- Decided to move to London, started course at university: Business Management BSc(Hons).
2007- Got into 2nd the best University of Economy in Poland. Moved to Poznan. Started studying International Business BSc. Finished 1st year.
2004- Began studying in high school – (linguistic profile: advanced english & intermediate german). Got first serious freelance jobs in designing.

2002- I became the modem-connected part of Internet society. Using HTML, CSS and few scripts of JavaScript, I created website The Sims Online (not existing anymore www.thesimsonline.prv.pl) for fans of popular game The Sims. I managed to create quite huge user traffic and had first few offers to cooperate.
2000- Computers didn’t go mad and there was no Armageddon. I was also lied by Seasam Street TV Show, where I have been told that in 2000 there will be flying cars
1999- After experience with Pegasus, Amiga and Atari, got my first personal computer.
1988- Born in Kolobrzeg, beautiful, 50000 population city in Poland located on the Baltic seaside

THE BLOG

Darcva.com was launched just recently, in June 2009 and I’m aware that it’s a long, hard way until my website becames hugely recognised and influential. However, I will do my best to provide only quality and interesting articles, tips, resources and much more.
You can expect to find here only the finest, useful articles focused on graphic design (free design tips for students, creative resources, typography, branding, print design, logo design and more), like also a lot about my second passion: marketing. Main aim of Darc Vanilla Design existence is to create the influential and popular place of sharing the expertise and knowledge about all areas of creativity.
